The God Who Sees You

“O Lord, you have searched me and known me! You know when I sit down and when I rise up; you discern my thoughts from afar.   You search out my path and my lying down and are acquainted with all my ways.   Even before a word is on my tongue, behold, O Lord, you know it altogether.  You hem me in, behind and before, and lay your hand upon me. ”  Psalm 139:  1-5
There have been many times in my life where I have felt invisible.  Like no one sees me, sees what I do.

There have been many times where I felt unaccomplished and unappreciated, wondering if anyone noticed the day in and day out life of a mom/wife/nurse.

When the days are long, the nights are sleepless and the to-do list are endless.  When it seems like I can’t possibly get it all done – when I’m weary and wondering when/if it will get easier.  And the guilt that comes from allowing these feelings to take over.

My dear friend if you have ever felt this way – I want you to know that God sees you.   He knows your struggle, your secret pain.  He cares about all the little details that make up our life.  He loves you and is always there – His word promised that He will never leave us or forsake us (Hebrews 13:5).

We can trust in the promises of God , knowing that nothing escapes His attention or slips out of His control.

“You whom I have taken from the ends of the earth, And called from its remotest parts And said to you, ‘You are My servant, I have chosen you and not rejected you.   ‘Do not fear, for I am with you;  Do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God.  I will strengthen you, surely I will help you, Surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’  Isaiah 41:29 – 31

“Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Do not fear; you are more valuable than many sparrows.”  Luke 12:7

Everything we do matters, even those things that seem insignificant – like mopping the floors (again).  What we do, if done unto the Lord is important.  He loves us, sees us and will bless the work that we do unto Him – no matter what it is, no matter what season of life we are in.

To those who are going through this right now, I’m sending you prayers and hugs.  Know that you are not alone and that the God of the universe, the God who created you – loves you beyond words.

Take comfort and rest in His loving arms –

“Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly.”  Matthew 11:28 – 30, The Message

Praying for you today,

Stephanie
